DaisyMaeNorthern is a First class MA graduate who specialises in soft sculptures. Her personal focus on Northern Culture and dialect is represented through her designs by means of various techniques. Daisy’s designs are both playful and personal to her life living in Yorkshire. Using typography and digital design, she creates words and phrases to communicate the meaning behind the object. She Quotes “ This, for me, is an amusing way of expressing who I am, where I came from and the appreciation I have for my culture”. We at Scribble Stone, a Yorkshire-based company, appreciated the Northern aesthetic behind Daisy’s Designs and worked with her on a number of projects. Daisy approached us with a new direction for her brand to take, going from soft sculptures to hard objects. We are very excited to take on daisy’s designs and bring them to life.
Everyday Objects.
The Scribble Stone Inspire team came together with Daisy to design a collection of iPads. As industries merge, creating innovative and playful products adds to the idea of a piece of art in our homes rather than just a decorative piece. Living in an environment filled with interesting objects, playful designs and decor will inspire a more positive attitude towards everyday activities.
‘CRACK A SMILEY’
This was Daisy Mae's first project for us to collaborate on. We created the design out of Scoutmoor using our water-jet machine. Because Scoutmoor is a natural stone, the natural tones and textures of Scoutmoor stand out, allowing the features within the design to stand out.
